Sigma Phi Epsilon Educational Foundation is a 501(c)3 tax-exempt organization and your donation is tax-deductible within the guidelines of U.S. law. To claim a donation as a deduction on your U.S. taxes, please keep your email donation receipt as your official record. We'll send it to you upon successful completion of your donation.
Frequently asked questions
Can I designate my donation to multiple funds or chapters I'd like to support?
Yes! However, you must complete multiple transactions. We know, it's a pain, and we've asked our vendor to add this functionality for next year. For now, if you would like to support both the Annual Fund and the Ruck Leadership Institute, our systems require that you process two separate donations. The same goes if you would like to support multiple chapters. If you need help splitting donations that you've already submitted, please contact our team at foundation@sigep.net. How do I get Board of Governors status?
Board of Governors status is earned by members who give over $1,500 to the Annual Fund within the fiscal year. The Annual Fund is an immediate-use fund, meaning the Foundation and Fraternity have flexibility in how and when they use the funds to support a wide range of programs. You can view Board of Governors levels at sigep.org/boardofgovernors.
When will my donation be applied to the official Founders Day total?
Your donation will be applied to the total count when we launch our official Founders Day page to the public. Challenge gifts will be applied when the challenge is met during the Founders Day broadcast.
What chapter will my donation count towards?
Our team will automatically apply your donation to your home chapter (chapter from which you graduated). If you prefer a different chapter, please indicate that in the comment section of your donation.
Is my donation secure?
Yes. Your security and privacy is our highest priority. We use industry-standard SSL technology to keep your information safe and secure.
Do I get a receipt?
Yes, we’ll send a receipt to the email address you provide when donating. The receipt will include your donation details, such as the date, amount, and any beneficiary information.
Why are there more fund options this year?
Founders Day of Giving continues to support SigEp's life-changing experience. This year, you can designate your gift toward the program you'd like to support. Most options are immediate-use funds, whereas the Balanced Man Program Endowment is an endowment intended to provide long-term financial backing for the BMP. As always, only gifts to the Annual Fund count for Board of Governors status.
